    In a nutshell

This is a popular expression which means you're going to say what you have to say in the shortest possible way, leaving all the details out. You can also say 'to make a long story short': In a nutshell, it all worked out beuatifully. To make a long story short, the meeting disintegrated into chaos.

Never put off until tomorrow ...

Here is a saying that a procrastinator* would prefer not to hear: Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. = Don't delay doing something if you can do it now. Now you also know what 'to procrastinate' means: It is to keep delaying something you must do, usually because it's boring or unpleasant. Try making your own sentence with 'procrastinate'.

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hello, I've only found that one: "Who risks nothing, has (or gains) nothing", but it has more than three words so I know it's not the good one. There's also this funny one: "No guts, no glory"

Every cloud has a silver lining.

This is a common saying that means: 'Every difficult situation has some benefit in it.' Next time you speak to someone who is experiencing some difficulty in their life, you may want to use this uplifting expression.
