Non-finite-clauses

Allowing me to clean my mind... or Upon working up to my melodious chime of my alarm clock... These two sentences are examples for so called "non-finite clauses".

I'd love to be trained in using them. But I  couldn't found any lessons on Anglo-Link. It would be nice if you could help me.
