Hello Udesh,

In my opinion your sentence is correct. I may be wrong, but I don't see any grammatical mistake in it. At least, I can understand the meaning easily.

Hello Udesh and Phil,

I don't see the need for the past Perfect Continuous tense here. I would suggest the Past Simple:

I think you must change your decision because my father laughed on hearing about it. / ..... laughed when he heard about it.
