Management Tom Posted May 8, 2018 Management Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 The latest exclusive video has been released. Check it out now: Present Perfect in British & American English You may have noticed that the Present Perfect tense (have done) is not as frequently used in American English as it is in British English. In informal contexts, Americans sometimes use the Past Simple tense (I did) where a British speaker uses 'I have done'. This can create some confusion for those of you who have studied the rules on how to use this tense. In this lesson, we're going to: Review the grammatically correct usage of the Present Perfect tense. See how it is used in dialogues in British English. See where in the same dialogues an American speaker may use the Past Simple instead. End with an exercise to check your understanding. Quote Link to comment
