In this lesson, we look at how Reported Speech is formulated, and also importantly, when we must use it and when we can avoid it. 1. Lesson summary: Download the PDF and read the explanations, and/or watch the live lesson here (12 minutes). 2. Written quiz: Take this quiz to test how well you understood the lesson. 3. Oral version of the quiz: Do the quiz orally (Listen - Answer - Repeat) without reading to activate this structure into your own speech. In LIVE sessions, we go through the correct answers together after you've done the quiz on your own. This is the fastest and most effective way of fully understanding and activating a topic. So, I encourage you to join the live sessions when you can.

Use this worksheet to prepare direct and indirect questions about this topic. If you wish, you can also write out your own answers in advance. In our LIVE CONVERSATION workshop, you will actively practise the questions and answers you've prepared. This type of exercise is very helpful in building reflexes and increasing your confidence to speak. So, I encourage you to join the live session when you can.
