sandeep145
Hi, I am confused whether I should use 'a' article or 'the' article in the situation given below. I discuss some points with my colleague and after the discussion, I inform him that I will send a draft report incorporating all the points discussed. Now, if I want to send a/the draft report via an email. What should I write: please find attached 'a draft' or 'the draft'? Should I write 'the draft' as my colleague already knows which draft I am referring to? Please clarify. Thanks. Link to comment
Head Tutor Minoo Posted March 15, 2020 Head Tutor Report Share Posted March 15, 2020 Hello Sandeep, Yes, as you have previously mentioned this draft, even though it didn't yet exist', it's better to say 'the' draft. It's implicit that you mean: Please find attached the draft (that I said I would prepare). Link to comment
