Mohammed Babikir Elbashir
Hello everyone .. Please have a look at the screen shot below. Is it correct to say appointment or appointment(s)? Elementary - > Conversations - > making and changing appointment class Quote Link to comment
PHIL73
Hello Mohammed, The word "appointment" is written in singular form because the woman on the screen is talking about the appointment that she mentioned before: "No, I have another appointment at 11." She was talking about the only appointment she had at that time, so it is singular. I hope this helps Subirana-Elisabet 1 Quote Link to comment
Head Tutor Minoo Posted June 12, 2018 Head Tutor Report Share Posted June 12, 2018 Thank you Phil for answering Mohammed. In case the confusion comes from the use of the word 'other', remember that after possessive pronouns, we use 'other' for both singular and plural possessions: another appointment >> my another other appointment other appointments >> my other appointments Subirana-Elisabet and PHIL73 2 Quote Link to comment
