A couple of questions about conditionals.

The first sentence is wrong. I can't grasp it. Would you help me, please?
If she hadn't (not have) the flu, she'd go to work tomorrow.

In Italy we would say: If she hadn't had the flu, she would have gone to work tomorrow. ..

 

second question. Why this sentence is wrong?
If he weren't such a fair person, he wouldn't have taken (take) all the credit last week.

Hello Luca,

The correct answers are:

If she didn't have ...   When 'have' is the main verb, use an auxiliary with it.

......, he would have taken ....  The structure is correct, but it is not negative.
