Luca Nicola

adverb and adjective

Question

Luca Nicola

Hello everyone
How are you feeling today?

Carl was calmly taking a photograph as this astonishingly large bear walked towards the car. It was a terrifying experience...at least for me!

Is 'astonishing large bear' gramatically wrong?

Thanks in advance

Best regards,
Luca

'Astonishingly' describe the adjective 'large'.

If you use 'astonishing', you will be describing the noun 'beard' with two adjectives: astonishing beard & large beard.
