Why does "Let us" bring a positive instead of negative   

For example

Let us go to the park,  shall we?

Hello Lyra,

I can't exactly explain 'why', but as you saw  in my lesson, there are some special cases  (usually functional language) that don't follow the rule:

Request: Open the door please, will you?
Suggestion: Let's go, shall we?
Offer: I'll call him, shall I?

Just consider these as exceptions.
