Hello Hari,

There are no mistakes, just inconsistency in the level of formality.

'in case' is better used in an informal context: In case she calls you, will you ....?

'in the event' is quite a formal expression and therefore more suitable for the other sentence: In the event (that) there is a conflict of interest, a neutral party will be assigned.

Thanks for your reply, yet they are considered as wrong during the test due to which I'm unable to get  3 cups.

Please help me in this regard.
