When the going gets tough ...

Today's expression is about resilience, i.e. the ability to stay strong and not give up in the face of difficulty, and it goes:

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

There's a similar expression that I'd like you to find. Your clue: The two key words (red) have to do with money, and the other two words (blue) are the same preposition:

In .............................., in ..............................

ANSWER: In for a penny, in for a pound. (GB)
In for a dime, in for a dollar. (US)

Hello Minoo,

here's my version: "In for a penny, in for a pound."  In my country we say something like that: "Took the plow, don't say you're the weak." :D

Hello all,

You caught me off guard this time, Serg!

It seems there is also an Americanized version of it: ""In for a dime, in for a dollar."

While searching for the answer, I came across this saying that  I cannot resist quoting: "Money is the best deodorant."  :D

Congratulations gentlemen!

You have once again excelled yourselves and earned well-deserved credits.

Thank you both for being such good sports.
