Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

This saying advises us not to scrutinise or criticise something that we've received as a gift. It has its roots in the fact that you can tell the age of a horse by looking at its teeth.

There's a similar expression that says we must be appreciative of whatever we receive if it's offered to us free or cheaply. See if you can find the two missing words:

........................ can't be .....................................

 

ANSWER: Beggars can't be choosers.

It seems I need to give you a clue: Let's start by giving you the first letters: The first word begins with 'b', and the last word begins with 'c'.
