Question ?

Question

Boukhadra Mohamed Amine

why  in this exemple we use  the present perfect:

Karl has not heard the news yet.

Instead of Present Perfect Continuous , because Karl has not yet

heard the news.that means that the action is still in progress?

Hello Boukhadra,

We don't usually use the PPC in a negative sentence because it doesn't make sense to insist on the continuity of an action that has never taken place.
