Future Tenses

English has many different future forms, each with its own unique idea. Although these forms can sometimes be used interchangeably, at other times, it is important to use the most appropriate form to make your message perfectly clear. Knowing the different ideas also helps you to fully understand a native speaker's message.

This lesson aims to remove your doubts when you need to choose among four common tenses that talk about future actions. To do this, we're going to:

  • Review the uses of 'will do', 'be going to do', and 'be doing' for future actions
  • Understand the usage of 'will be doing'.
  • Illustrate the usage of all these forms in dialogues.
  • End with an exercise to check your understanding.
